COVID-19 Update: 2,829 New Cases Reported at 8 p.m. on September 5

The Ministry of Health has been making efforts to improve COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment in the country.

For achieving success in the work process, the public needs to say at home as much as possible, wear masks when going outside, frequently wash hands and stay in distance from each other.If there are older persons above 65 or those suffering from chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension and heart attacks, they must wear masks. Cooperation with great attention to receive COVID-19 vaccination is needed.

The Ministry of Health has reported 2,829 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Sunday after testing 27,042 lab specimens within 24 hours. 96 COVID-19 positive patients have died while 2,462 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 415,416 with 15,891 deaths and 362,956 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.
