COVID-19 Update: 2,424 New Cases Reported at 8 p.m. on September 15

The Ministry of Health reported 2,424 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Wednesday after testing 24,364 lab specimens within 24 hours. 91 COVID-19 positive patients have died while 2,726 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 438,951 with 16,784 deaths and 388,596 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are United States of America with over 41.06 million confirmed cases followed by India, Brazil, The United Kingdom, Russian Federation, France, Turkey, Islamic Republic of Iran, Argentina and Colombia according to the World Health Organization.

Globally, as of 4:34 p.m. Central European Summer Time on September 15, 2021, there have been over 225.68 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 4.64 million deaths, reported to WHO. The Ministry of Health has given instructions for office/department staff and everyone’s active cooperation in following the COVID-19 preventive measures including reminders of staying safe and healthy during the pandemic.
