COVID-19 Update: 2,310 New Cases Reported at 8 p.m. on September 9

The Ministry of Health reported 2,310 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Thursday after testing 25,622 lab specimens within 24 hours.

92 COVID-19 positive patients have died while 2,620 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 425,414 with 16,265 deaths and 373,219 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are United States of America with over 40.15 million confirmed cases followed by India, Brazil, The United Kingdom, Russian Federation, France, Turkey, Argentina, Islamic Republic of Iran and Colombia according to the World Health Organization.

Globally, as of 5:39 p.m. Central European Standard Time on September 9, 2021, there have been over 222.40 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 4.59 million deaths, reported to WHO. The Ministry of Health has given instructions for office/department staff and everyone’s active cooperation in following the COVID-19 preventive measures including reminders of staying safe and healthy during the pandemic.
