COVID-19 Update: 1,717 New Cases Reported At 8 P.M. On October 6

The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures. The Ministry reported 1,717 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Wednesday after testing 20,390 patients within 24 hours. 41 COVID-19 positive patients have died while 1,292 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 473,025 with 17,998 deaths and 426,739 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, Brazil, the United Kingdom, Russian Federation, Turkey, France, Iran, Argentina and Spain, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 8:48pm CEST, 6 October 2021, there have been over 235 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 4.81 million deaths.
