Covid-19 Update: 1,585 New Cases Reported At 8 P.M. On September 20

The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures.

The Ministry reported 1,585 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Monday after testing 17,309 patients within 24 hours. 56 COVID-19 positive patients have died while 1,948 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 448,158 with 17,129 deaths and 400,168 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, Brazil, the United Kingdom, Russian Federation, Turkey, France, Iran, Argentina and Colombia, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 7:03pm CEST, 20 September 2021, there have been over 228 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 4.69 million deaths.
