COVID-19 Update: 1,468 New Cases Reported at 8 p.m. on September 30

The Ministry of Health reported 1,468 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Thursday after testing 18,304 lab specimens within 24 hours.53 COVID-19 positive patients have died while 1,402 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 464,076 with 17,735 deaths and 418,329 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are United States of America with over 42.96 million confirmed cases followed by India, Brazil, The United Kingdom, Russian Federation, Turkey, France, Islamic Republic of Iran, Argentina and Colombia according to the World Health Organization.

Globally, as of 5:15 p.m. Central European Summer Time on September 30, 2021, there have been over 233.13 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 4.77 million deaths, reported to WHO.

The Ministry of Health has given instructions for office/department staff and everyone’s active cooperation in following the COVID-19 preventive measures including reminders of staying safe and healthy during the pandemic.
