






A coordination meeting to ensure the smooth operation of the temporary vehicle inspection point at the Kanpaiti Border Trade Camp, based in Mongna , was held at the Malikha Hall of the Kachin State Government Office on March 8th. The meeting aimed to facilitate the process of allowing the legal import of goods from the neighboring country with official import licenses and to carry out necessary inspections.
During the meeting, the Kachin State Chief Minister emphasized the need to regularize goods entering Myitkyina from the neighboring country. He stated that to prevent shortages of goods in the region, legal imports must be permitted only with official import licenses, and all due taxes and duties must be collected. He urged everyone to work collectively to ensure the smooth operation of the tasks that need to be carried out, noting that while the Kanpaiti One Stop Service (OSS) team had already begun operations on March 6th at the foot of Shwemoe Taung Pagoda in Mongna Village, Waingmaw Township, all stakeholders must strive together to address any requirements for the seamless execution of inspection activities.
Subsequently, the State Director of the Customs Department, members of the OSS team, relevant state-level departmental officials, and Chairpersons of District/Township Management and Administration Committees who attended the meeting presented matters concerning their respective sectors to facilitate the smooth operation of the temporary vehicle inspection point at the Kanpaiti Border Trade Camp. Following their presentations, Kachin State Government Ministers supplemented the discussions with observations and clarifications regarding the trade and inspection processes.
Based on the presentations and discussions, the State Chief Minister provided necessary directives and coordinated actions across the relevant sectors.
Similarly, on the previous evening, the State Chief Minister also held a coordination meeting regarding the Quick Win projects to be implemented in the 2025-2026 fiscal year using the Union Government's general surplus funds. The meeting took place in Meeting Hall-1 of the State Government Office, attended by State Ministers and state-level departmental officials.
At the meeting, the State Chief Minister discussed and gave necessary instructions. Following this, the attending state-level departmental officials presented and discussed matters related to their respective sectors. State Government members supplemented the discussions by analyzing and clarifying the circumstances for project implementation. The State Chief Minister then provided further necessary directives, coordinated efforts, and facilitated the required provisions based on the discussions, it’s reported.
