





Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Myo Zaw Thein, accompanied by concerned officials, inspected livestock cooperative enterprises and regional development activities within Pyin Oo Lwin Township on Saturday.
At Naung Wei Village, the Union Minister and officials oversaw dairy cow farming, operated by Kaung Myanmar Dairy Cow Farming Cooperative Ltd., and gave necessary instructions.
Upon arrival at the Silk Filature Factory and Sericulture Center, the Union Minister coordinated with the relevant departments on seeds and inputs provision, value added products production, requisite technology assistance and fulfilled requirements.
The Union Minister then inspected the concrete paving of the road connecting Naung Hlaing Village and Pyin Oo Lwin Bypass Road, being undertaken by the Department of Rural Road Development, stressed on finishing the task on time in accordance with the prescribed standards.
The road will directly benefit over 2,800 people from 820 households of 5 villages, as well as more than 1,200 acres of plantation. Likewise in Kyi Kine Village, the Union Minister inspected inter-village road upgrading process and Aung Aung Iron Gate Grill small-scale enterprise initiated with Rural Family Income Improvement Project, called for the constructive participation of the residents in ensuring the long-term sustainability of the established enterprises.
Subsequently, the Union Minister visited Cooperative Accounting Vocational Training Center (Mandalay) and met with the staff and trainees. Upon reports presented by the attendees, the Union Minister instructed on capacity enhancement of trainers, job opportunities for the trainees and encouraged the trainees to strengthen their commitment to learning.
