Combating Online Scam: Efforts to eradicate online scam and gambling

The government is intensifying comprehensive measures to prevent the establishment and operation of online scam and gambling activities within the country in collaboration with both local forces and neighboring countries.

Furthermore, departmental joint forces across regions and states are conducting systematic inspections and enforcement activities to combat online scam and gambling operations, as well as to prevent illegal entry and residence of foreign nationals. On 22nd March, security forces conducted secuirty operation confiscated 5 Chinese men who committed illegal online gambeling at South East of Kho Hai village, Lae Char township , and action will be carried out in line with the procedures.

The seized temporary buildings using in online scam near Kaung San village on 20th March were destroyed systematically.
