In response to recent claims circulating on social media, an official from the concerned ministry has clarified the situation regarding agricultural loans in Wet Htee Kan Station of Pyay District, Bago Region.

The alleged fake news suggested that farmers were being forced to repay their agricultural loans at the local police station, and those who cannot pay back loans are being filed a lawsuit, causing panic among the farming community.

The official further emphasizes that no lawsuits have been filed against farmers who have yet to repay their loans, and new loans are disbursed only to those who have fulfilled their debt obligations in line with regulations.

The illegal and destructive media outlets are dissemination the fabricated news, citing the negative impact on farmers and the misunderstanding created among service personnel and administrative bodies.
