China's UN envoy on North Korea missile launches

China has urged the United States to engage in dialogue with North Korea over the country's nuclear program.

Ambassador Zhang Jun, the Chinese envoy to the United Nations told reporters that the US "should come up with more attractive and more practical, more flexible approaches, policies and actions and in accommodating the concerns of DPRK."

Zhang was speaking ahead of a U.N. Security Council meeting called by the United States on North Korea's most recent test of an intermediate-range ballistic missile capable of reaching Guam. It is the most significant launch in years that could target American territory.
