China-Myanmar Kathina robe offering: Chinese Embassy and MCBA co-organized Kathina robe offering

The Chinese Embassy in Myanmar and the Myanmar-China Buddhist Association co-organized the Kathina robe offering ceremony at the State Sangha Mahanayaka residential building, Kabaaye hill, in Yangon on 21st October.

Present at the occasion were 21 invited senior members of Sangha led by the Vice Chairman of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee Meiktila Presiding Sayadaw and Chairman of Yangon Region Sangha Nayaka Committee.

The Chinese Embassy in Myanmar and members of Myanmar-China Buddhist Association offered the offertories to the Chairman of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee Bhamo Monastery Presiding Sayadawgyi in Mandalay and the Secretary of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee Thanlyin Sayadawgyi in Thanlyin.

The ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Myanmar H.E. Mr. Chen Hai emphasized that Buddhist culture plays an important role in Sino-Myanmar friendly relations, and hoped that the Sino-Myanmar kinship relation will deepen through this ceremony. And he wished for being peaceful and prosperous of Myanmar and for the perpetuation of Sino-Myanmar friendship and cooperation.

In his response, Bamaw Sayadawgyi expressed words of thanks for the donation and wished for the sustainable progress of friendship and cooperation between Myanmar and the People’ Republic of Chan, it’s reported.
