China launches lab module for space station

China successfully launched its Wentian lab module on Sunday aboard the Long March 5B remote 3 rocket from Hainan Island in southern China.

The lab module, designed for science and biology experiments, will dock with the Chinese space station core module Tianhe.

Three astronauts are living in the core module and will oversee the arrival and docking of the new module. Sunday's launch was the third since the Chinese space station entered its construction phase.
