China to continue assisting other countries in global fight against coronavirus

China is playing its part in the global fight against COVID-19 and will continue to help countries in need, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said on Monday. Spokeswoman briefed the press while refuting a statement made by a French government minister who alleged that China was using the pandemic as a means to win favor with the international community.

Chinese enterprises increased their production capacity and worked around the clock to make medical and protective materials amid the COVID-19 outbreak. As the situation continues to improve in China, enterprises are still working tirelessly to provide more medical and protective supplies that are urgently needed in other countries, contributing to the global fight against the pandemic, the spokeswoman said.
