India’s Chief of Army Staff, General Upendra Dwivedi, arrived in Sri Lanka on a two-day official visit. During the visit, General Dwivedi is scheduled to hold discussions with senior military and civilian officials, including the Commander of the Sri Lanka Army, the Deputy Minister of Defense, and the Defense Secretary.

The talks will center on training collaboration, capacity development, and regional security matters. He will also deliver an address to officers at the Defense Services Command and Staff College and interact with officers at the Army War College in Buttala. In addition, General Dwivedi is set to pay homage at the War Memorial of the Indian peace keeping forces.
