Sony Honda Mobility to sell electric vehicle in Japan

A joint venture organized by Sony Group and Honda Motor would start selling a US-made electric vehicle in Japan in the first half of next year. The President and COO of Sony Honda Mobility Kawanishi Izumi said the company is positioning AI at the core of vehicle evolution.

Sony Honda Mobility said the sedan-type EV will come with an AI agent that can converse with a driver and handle functions like proposing destinations. The maker said the car would have entertainment offerings like back-seat gaming. It will be available in the US this year.
