Magnitude 6.4 quake hits Davao Region, Philippines

In the Philippines, a strong earthquake once again jolted the Davao Region, with the epicenter of the magnitude 6.4 quake recorded 55 kilometers northeast of the town of Manay, Davao Oriental on Wednesday Morning.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development said it was monitoring the situation and was prepared to conduct rapid assessments and provide immediate assistance should the need arise. But there were no reported casualties or structural damage. But state volcanologists warn, aftershocks are expected following the earthquake.
