Better Transportation: Expansion of DEMU train services

Myanma Railways has announced an expansion of train services on the Yangon–Nay Pyi Taw route. The Myanma Railways will now operate three daily air-conditioned DEMU trains in each direction, increasing from the current two services to improve passenger convenience.

New train services, No. 33 (up) and No. 34 (down), will be added to the schedule. Tickets for these trains will be available at railway stations, with plans to include them in the online ticketing system (ORTP). The new Yangon-to-Nay Pyi Taw service will begin on March 26, while the full updated schedule will take effect from March 27.
