Amendment Law: Ayeyawady Region Freshwater Fisheries Law Amended

The Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Amendment of the 2018 Ayeyawady Region Freshwater Fisheries Law, State Administration Council Law No 24/2021 signed by the Chairman of State Administration Council Senior General Min Aung Hlaing dated 7 September 2021 was issued.

The amendment law described that the State Administration Council enacts this law according to Section 419 of the Constitution of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. 1. This law shall be called the Amendment of the 2018 Ayeyawady Region Freshwater Fisheries Law. 2.

This law shall be deemed to be effective on the date on which the Union Government and the Region/State Government are formed according to the election to be held after the State Administration Council completes its duties in accordance with the provisions during the state of emergency. 3. As long as this law is in force, all provisions in Chapter (8) of the 2018 Ayeyawady Region Freshwater Fisheries Law must be considered to be revoked. 4.

The Minister shall issue notification, orders and instructions, if necessary, regarding the formation of community-based fisheries groups. 5. The provisions of Chapters 13 (a), 13 (b) and 13 (c) of the Freshwater Fisheries Law may continue to apply as long as they are not inconsistent with this law. I hereby sign under Section 419 of the State Constitution.
