Abe suspect transferred from Nara police station

The suspect in the murder of former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was transferred on Sunday after being detained at a police station for two days.

Police confiscated a homemade gun and several others were later found at the suspect's apartment.

The suspect, Tetsuya Yamagami, told investigators that he believed rumors that Abe was connected to an organization that he resents. J

apanese media reported that the suspect had developed hatred toward a religious group that his mother was obsessed with, and that had caused his family financial problems. The reports did not specify the group.
