According to the data of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), the year 2016 was recorded as the warmest year. Moreover, three consecutive year of La Niña event was recorded from 2020 to 2022.

But these La Niña events could not influence the current global warming issue. 2022 survey of WMO found out that the average temperature of the world reached 1.06 degree above the pre-industrial levels. Due to global warming, the glaciers have been melting, and the sea level increased about 24 centimeters than the year 1880, It resulted many island nations to face challenges.

Untimely rain also caused floods while facing droughts and scarcity of water on the other hands. The UN Climate Change Conference, held in Paris in 2015 adopted the resolution to pursue efforts to limit the temperature increase to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels.

The Deputy Prime Minister called for cooperative efforts of all concerned persons to reduce natural disasters due to climate change and to well survive of the next generations. It was followed by screening of video clips on the message sent by the Secretary General of WMO and the climate change events.
