






Organized by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation, the 58th Myanmar Gems Emporium is being held at the Mani Yadana Jade Hall in Nay Pyi Taw from 17th to 23rd March. 2,150 jade lots were put on sale from 21st to 22ndMarch and 1,114 jade lots were sold out and the remaining 650 Jade lots are put on sale on 23rd March.
According to the official of the Central Committee for Organizing Myanmar Gems Emporium, on 18 and the 19 March, 295 pear lots were put on sale and a total of 290 pear lots were sold out. On 20th March, out of 120 gems lots, 77 gems lots were sold out.
Khin Moe Swe, Ruby and Amber Gemstones Trading said "We annually sell the finished gem products at the emporium. We sell the products produced from Myitkyina, especially ambers, amber finished goods and related products. By holding the Gems Emporium, we have a chance to show our gems and jewelleries to foreigners and for the locals, they have also opportunities to observe and purchase the finished products of other regions and states. "
Cho Cho Aye, Myat San Finished Jade Souvenir Shop said "We display jade carving items and jade jewelleries. Chinese gems merchants mostly buy the jade carving items and the locals buy bracelets. I am very pleased to give opportunity to me to display our jade products here. "
2,394 local gems merchants, 318 foreign gems merchants and 367 company staffs, totaling over 3,000 attend the emporium. In this sale, Foreign gem merchants are allowed to make payments in USD, Euros, Yuan and Thai Baht and for the local gems merchants, they have to make payments with Myanmar kyats equal to the market price.
