







With the theme “Through the Dialogues to a Peaceful New Nation,” the Peace Talk 2025 was held at the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Center in Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on March 26 as the Third Day.
The peace talks were attended by Chairman of National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee (NSPNC) Lt-Gen Yar Pyae and Committee members, senior military officials (retired), representatives from the Joint Monitoring Committee (JMC), political party representatives, representatives from ethnic armed groups that have signed the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement (NCA), those actively involved in the peace process, intellectuals and intelligentsia, media, and officials from various ministries, rectors from universities, the representatives from associations and observers. NSPNC secretary Lt-Gen Min Naing presided over the panel discussion of “Politics and Security Sector” with the leading discussion of Dr. Aung Myat Oo and Dr. Aye Maung under the topic of “Election, Security, Stability and Rule of Law.”
At the discussion on the “Sectors of Economy and Development of the Country”, NSPNC member Lt-Gen Win Bo Shein (Retired) presided over with the leading discussion of Lt-Gen Myit Soe (retired) and U Ko Ko Gyi under the topic of “Election, Security, Stability and Rule of Law.” and the participants carried out discussion on their opinion and inquired the questions.
Participants also had the opportunity to engage in further discussions and ask questions, with speakers providing clarifications and expanding on key points. In the afternoon, member of NSPNC Lt-Gen Khin Zaw U (retired), discusses the topics related to political and security sector discussions.
Following that, Economic Researcher Dr. Zaw Oo, reviewed and discussed the topics related to the economic and national development sector. Furthermore, Secretary of of NSPNC Lt-Gen Min Naing, presents the results of the three-day discussion related to political and security sectors, while Lt-Gen. Win Bo Shein (retired) explained and documented the results of the three-day discussions related to the economic and national development sector.
Next, representatives of group (1) from the Vice Chairperson of Joint Ceasefire Monitoring Committee (Kayin State) Nan Sae Ua and representatives of group (2), Dr. Naw Kapaw Htoo from the KNU /KNLA (PC) expressed their gratitude. After that, Chairman of NSPNC Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, delivered closing remarks expressing confidence that the findings and recommendations obtained from the three-day peace talk will serve as a significant reference for the political process in Myanmar, and stated that they would continue to strive to practically utilize the findings and recommendations. Additionally, he mentioned that the NSPNC will make efforts to organize peace dialogues whenever possible.
