Strong Wind Hit Myitkyina: Chief Minister inspects damage caused by strong wind

Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan visited areas in Myitkyina affected by strong winds and heavy rain on April 25. The strong wind caused fallen trees, broken poles, and blocked roads, affecting offices, government departments, and public areas.

The Chief Minister, together with state ministers, inspected cleanup operations led by firefighters, social welfare groups, and government staff. They praised the teams and provided cash reward. Damages included large fallen trees near monastery, government offices, staff housing, and roads. Restoration work, including repairing electricity poles and clearing debris, is ongoing in Myitkyina and nearby Moe Kaung Township.
