2nd Day of 1st Regular Session: 3rd Amyotha Hluttaw’s 2nd Day of 1st Regular Session

The second day of the first regular session of the third Amyotha Hluttaw was held in the morning of March 24th at the Amyotha Hluttaw meeting hall in Naypyidaw. Out of the 213 Amyotha Hluttaw representatives entitled to attend, 213 were present, achieving 100% attendance.

According to the agenda, the Speaker of the Amyotha Hluttaw clarified matters pertaining to the formation of the Bill Committee during the meeting.

Afterwards, on behalf of the Speaker, Daw Nwe Nwe Oo from Ayeyawady Region Constituency No. 2 clarified and presented information regarding the duties, authorities, rights, and term of the Bill Committee.

Subsequently, the Amyotha Hluttaw Speaker submitted to the Hluttaw a list of 15 representatives for the formation of the Bill Committee, including Daw Nwe Nwe Oo from Ayeyawady Region Constituency No. 2 as Chairperson and U Zin Min Htet from Bago Region Constituency No. 7 as Secretary.

Next, the Amyotha Hluttaw Speaker clarified matters pertaining to the formation of the Public Accounts Committee.

Following that, on behalf of the Speaker, U Than Aung from Taninthayi Region Constituency No. 2 clarified and presented information regarding the duties, authorities, rights, and term of the Public Accounts Committee.

Afterwards, the Speaker submitted to the Hluttaw a list of 15 representatives for the formation of the Public Accounts Committee, including U Chit Swe from Ayeyawady Region Constituency No. 10 as Chairperson and U Than Aung from Taninthayi Region Constituency No. 2 as Secretary.

Subsequently, the Speaker clarified and presented information regarding the formation of the Hluttaw Rights Committee.

Then, on behalf of the Speaker, U Aung Tin Myint from Ayeyawady Region Constituency No. 8 clarified and presented information regarding the duties, authorities, rights, and term of the Hluttaw Rights Committee.

Next, the Amyotha Hluttaw Speaker submitted to the Hluttaw a list of 15 representatives for the formation of the Hluttaw Rights Committee, including Jeng Phang Naw Taung from Kachin State Constituency No. 2 as Chairperson and U Aung Tin Myint from Ayeyawady Region Constituency No. 8 as Secretary. 

Afterwards, the Amyotha Hluttaw Speaker clarified and presented information regarding the formation of the Scrutiny Committee for Guarantees, Pledges and Undertakings of the Government.

Subsequently, on behalf of the Speaker, U Hla Thein from Bago Region Constituency No. 10 clarified and presented information regarding the duties, authorities, rights, and term of the Scrutiny Committee for Guarantees, Pledges and Undertakings of the Government.

Next, the Speaker submitted to the Hluttaw a list of 15 representatives for the formation of the Scrutiny Committee for Guarantees, Pledges and Undertakings of the Government, including U Hla Thein from Bago Region Constituency No. 10 as Chairperson and U Yan Naing Oo from Yangon Region Constituency No. 9 as Secretary.

Today's meeting was adjourned at 10:57 AM, and it is reported that the third day of the meeting will continue on March 26th at 10:00 AM.
