20 rescued, 17 killed, 17 missing in Qinghai province's flash flood

20 people who were previously reported as missing in the flash flood have been rescued as of 11 a.m. on Friday in Northwest China’s Qinghai province.

More than 4,500 emergency rescuers of firefighters, policemen, servicemen, emergency response personnel and medical workers are still making an all-out effort to search for missing people.

17 people were found dead, 17 others remained missing, and 1,249 people had been evacuated from the disaster areas as of 9 p.m. on Thursday.
