Global observance of 2026 World Cities Day held in Fujian

The Global Observance of World Cities Day 2026 is being held in Fujian Province of China, from October 31 to November 2. Jointly organized by China's Ministry of Housing and the Fujian Provincial Government, the event centered on urban regeneration and neighborhood renewal to enhance housing and public spaces while preventing displacement and rising rents.

It also includes a main forum on November 1 with over 100 leaders and scholars, alongside 13 thematic forums, international technical exchanges, and the UN-Habitat Executive Board Bureau meeting.
