Russia has extended a ban on diesel exports by domestic producers until January 31, 2027, the Russian government announced on Saturday. The extension covers diesel fuel, marine fuel and gas oils exported directly by producers and the measure aims to maintain stability in the domestic fuel market. In early October, Russia partially eased export restrictions on diesel fuel, allowing producers to resume some exports.

The easing came after Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump reached an agreement on October 9 to supply Russian diesel to international markets.
