Dak Lak eyes one billion US dollars in durian exports

Viet Nam’s Dak Lak Province expected durian exports to exceed one billion US dollars in the 2026 season. According to provincial authorities, durians originating from Dak Lak have already generated over 900 million US dollars in export revenue.

However, official exports recorded locally reached just 262.3 million US dollars in the first nine months, as some shipments were processed through other provinces. Despite strong demand, exporters face challenges in meeting traceability requirements, particularly for the Chinese market. Local authorities are strengthening growing-area management, digital records and supply chain standards to sustain export growth.
