




Turkish students have made their mark on the 24th International Student Unmanned Aerial Systems Competition held in the United States. The GOKTIM KartalAir team from Kayseri Central Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School took first place among 64 teams from 10 countries competing in the event.
From software and hardware to design and manufacturing, every stage of the unmanned aerial vehicle was developed and produced by the students themselves. The competition was held under the theme “Technology in Action for Disaster Recovery and Relief.”
The 12-member high school team developed an unmanned aerial vehicle designed to support search, rescue and relief operations following disasters. The aircraft successfully completed a series of tests, including autonomous flight, obstacle avoidance, positioning and precision payload delivery.
