Heavy rain disrupts daily life in southern and southeastern Türkiye

Heavy rain affected daily life in parts of southern and southeastern Türkiye. In Reyhanlı, in Hatay province, around 30 minutes of heavy rainfall caused muddy floodwaters flowing from mountains on the Syrian side to inundate several neighborhoods in the eastern part of the district.

Some agricultural fields were flooded, while residents worked to move livestock to safety. Floodwaters also damaged farmland, and walls around some homes were broken to help drain water from courtyards. Emergency crews continue to work in the affected areas.
