Macron welcomes Argentina's Milei to Elysee Palace

French President Emmanuel Macron welcomed his Argentine counterpart Javier Milei to the Elysee Palace for talks aimed at strengthening ties. The visit comes as French energy giant TotalEnergies announced it would invest nearly $10 billion in the coming years to expand its operations in Argentina.

TotalEnergies is the largest international gas producer in the country, with both onshore and offshore fields, and also operates wind and solar sites.
