Thousands of runners set off for 52nd Berlin marathon in Germany

The 52nd BMW Berlin Marathon took place on Sunday, drawing around 60,000 runners from over 160 nations to the German capital. The race kicked off in Tiergarten Park, taking runners on a flat, iconic 42.2 km route through the heart of Berlin. The course led participants past historic landmarks before concluding through the Brandenburg Gate.

For Men's Division, Ethiopia's Guye Adola secured his second Berlin Marathon title, finishing with a time of 2:02:50.  For Women's Division, Ethiopia's Tigst Assefa dominated the women's field, crossing the finish line in 2:11:04 to claim victory.
