Palestinian Government set to hold the election on November 28

The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine announced the electoral list it has registered with the Central Elections Commission to contest the 2026 legislative elections.

Majda Al-Masri, the Front’s Deputy Secretary-General, stated that the Front would enter the democratic contest with its list named the “Unity and Democratic Change List” in an effort to unify the political system across the West Bank, the Gaza Strip, and Jerusalem, and to preserve the unity of Palestinian law.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas had previously issued a new decree on July 9, 2026, setting November 28, 2026, as the date for the legislative elections.
