Union Government Meeting : President gives guidelines at meeting in Nay Pyi Taw

President U Min Aung Hlaing attended the Union Government meeting on Tuesday afternoon at the Union Government Meeting Hall of the Presidential Palace in Nay Pyi Taw.

In his opening address, the President stated that based on experiences from international visits, they should adopt and implement suitable model practices for national development. He noted that the primary key to achieving development seen during those trips was stability and peace.

Since citizens' socio-economic lives can only improve if the country develops, all ethnic brothers and sisters living together in the Union must consciously unite and work together toward peace, stability, and development. Regarding job opportunities, he emphasized the need for systematic standards and urged ministries to conduct refresher and multiplier training courses based on specific fields, qualifications, and capabilities, ensuring a continuous supply of human resources required across all sectors.

Afterwards, the Union Ministers presented and discussed their respective sectors. Delivering the closing remarks, the President stated that the country currently practices a government-centered education system while also operating a private education system in line with established policies. Regarding higher education, he stressed the importance of teaching and training students to achieve genuine mastery of the subjects taught at universities.

Concerning healthcare, he called for annual planning, training, and development of human resources to ensure adequate medical and healthcare personnel across regional, state, district, township, and circuit-level hospitals, adding that the state is actively supporting the development of the private healthcare sector.

On governance, he emphasized the need to carry out duties systematically. He also highlighted that climate change is currently occurring worldwide, requiring careful preparation. Furthermore, he noted the need to implement solar power generation projects across regions and states, and for the sports sector, urged the systematic renovation, maintenance, and utilization of sports grounds in all regions and states.
