








Myitkyina University organized a reading competition and university history documentary video competition, aiming to promote reading habit, to broaden knowledge and academic awareness, and to strenthen critical thinking and analytical skills, along with the purpose to fulfill sustainable development goals.
The final competitions and award presentation ceremony was conducted on Friday at the university, with the attendance of Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan. In his remarks, the Chief Minister underscored the vital role of students participation and research works in accelerating five strengths of youths development and natural environment conservation measures which lead to region socio-economic development.
After the competitions, the awards winning students and departments were presented with respective honorary cash rewards and trophies. Subsequently, the Chief Minister attended the opening ceremony of 101 Hotel in Myoma Ward, Myitkyina Township and inspected the operation condition and layout.
On Thursday, the Chief Minister met with the members of Myanmar-China Friendhip Association Central Branch (Kachin). During the meeting, the Chief Minister outlined the longstanding bilateral trade relations between the two nations and encouraged to strengthen the existing Pauk-Phaw relations and urged the effective and comperehensive state development meausres. After hearing reports presented by the Chariman, the Chief Minsiter instructed the strict compliance with existing rules and regulations in tasks undertaking and provided 5 million kyat cash assistance.
