Strengthening Cooperation: Myanmar, Belarus discuss education and science cooperation

Union Minister for Education Dr. Chaw Chaw Sein met with Belarusian Minister of Education Mr. Ivanets Andrey Ivanovich in Minsk on Friday to discuss cooperation in education, science and technology.

The Myanmar delegation included officials from the Myanmar Space Agency and the Ministry of Science and Technology. The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between the two countries’ education ministries and preparing to sign memorandums of understanding on education. 

Union Minister Dr. Chaw Chaw Sein discussed strengthening cooperation in education and the signing of memorandums of understanding between the two countries’ education institutions. Myanmar Space Agency Executive Director-General Dr. Soe Myint Maung also discussed cooperation in space technology, satellite development and satellite applications with Belarusian officials.

Deputy Minister for Science and Technology Dr. Nay Chi Lae Lae Thein also discussed cooperation in science and technology education, including technical universities, computer studies and vocational training. Later, the delegation visited Belarusian State University, where they met university officials and toured laboratories and research facilities.
