Healthcare in Magway: Free medical treatment for retired government employees

Magway Region Chief Minister U Tin Ko Ko on August 21 inspected the free medical treatment being provided to retired government employees by specialist doctors at the Myanma Economic Bank in Magway.

During the visit, the Chief Minister warmly greeted the retired government employees receiving care, offered words of encouragement, and shared that the Regional Government, in collaboration with relevant departments, is continuously organizing beneficial initiatives for the local populace.

He also observed the sale of basic foodstuffs such as rice, cooking oil, and eggs at subsidized prices to over 4,000 pensioners in Magway Township. This free healthcare initiative is conducted monthly to ease medical expenses and ensure systematic healthcare access for retired government employees who faithfully served the nation. Beyond Magway Township, these free healthcare services are provided across all townships in the region during the monthly pension collection days.
