







On an official visit to Minsk, the Republic of Belarus, President U Min Aung Hlaing and his delegation departed Minsk by helicopters at 12:00 noon local time on August 20 to observe the Grodno Azot fertilizer plant in Grodno.
First, the President and his delegation left Minsk by helicopters, observing Belarus's agricultural operations, improved transport infrastructure, and regional development progress along the route from Minsk to Grodno from above. Upon arrival at Grodno Airport, the President and his delegation were warmly welcomed by Grodno Regional Governor Mr. Yuri Khadzhimuratovich and regional government officials.
Then, the delegation proceeded by car from Grodno Airport to the Grodno Azot fertilizer plant, where they were warmly received by Director General Mr. Lyashenko Igor Vasilyevich and factory officials. The President and his delegation also attended an honorary luncheon hosted by the Governor of Grodno Region in the factory's reception hall.
Following the luncheon, the President and the Governor exchanged commemorative gifts. Next, in the factory's meeting room, the Director General and officials briefed the President and his delegation on the factory's history, current operations, professional skills training programs, annual fertilizer production capacities, production for domestic agricultural food security, export operations, output of other related products including nylon cord and related supplies tailored to market demand and ongoing coordination to export fertilizers to Myanmar.
In response to the briefings, the President asked clarifying questions and engaged in discussions. Afterward, the President signed the factory's guest book. Also, the President and his delegation viewed a scale model of the fertilizer plant displayed in the showroom. The Director General presented the President with a souvenir featuring the Grodno Azot emblem. The delegation subsequently toured the plant grounds by car, during which the President asked further questions and offered remarks based on the officials' explanations. Finally, since the President and his delegation departed from Grodno Airport, the Governor of Grodno Region and officials saw them off warmly.
