Immigration and Population: Meeting with the UNHCR delegation

Deputy Minister for Immigration and Population U Ye Tun Oo received a deligation led by Mr. Barnaby Jones, UNHCR representative to Myanmar at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on Thursday.

They exchanged matters on current and future work plans under MoU between the Ministry and UNDP-UNHCR, granting visas and residence permits of UNHCR's foreign staff members in accordance with the procedures. They also discussed UNHCR’s support in deportation process of displaced individuals from Northern Rakhin State to Bangladesh in cooperation with the Ministry.
