Courtesy Call: Meeting with the Belarusian Prime Minister

Belarusian Prime Minister Mr. Alexander Turchin paid a courtesy call on President U Min Aung Hlaing at the President Hotel in Minsk, Belarus on Thursday.

Upon arrival, the President was warmly welcomed by the Belarusian Prime Minister who cordially greeted to him. Then, the President and the Belarusian Prime Minister held a meeting. The Belarusian Prime Minister expressed his warm welcome to the President and said both sides were working to deepen their friendly relations.

He also highlighted the Myanmar-Belarus Roadmap for Enhanced Cooperation for 2026–2028 and expressed that the Myanmar President’s visit could further advance bilateral cooperation. President U Min Aung Hlaing thanked Belarus for its warm welcome and said Myanmar, as an ASEAN member and a close friend of Belarus in Southeast Asia, will work to further strengthen bilateral ties. The two leaders also discussed expanding cooperation in agriculture and livestock, trade, investment and other sectors.
