Bilateral Cooperation: Meeting with the Thai Defence Minister

On Wednesday, Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services General Ye Win Oo, currently in Bangkok, Thailand to attend the 9th Thailand-Myanmar High Level Committee Meeting, met with Thai Defence Minister Lieutenant General (Ret.) Adul Boonthamcharoen.

The two leaders, frankly exchanged views on strengthening existing bilateral defence cooperation, ongoing online scam and gambling tackling measures with the support of neighboring countries, further collaborative measures for implementation of Joint Plan of Action-Clear Sky Strategy (2024-2030) between Myanmar, Thailand and Laos and appreciation for the requisite assistance for wildfire monitoring and related training courses.

They also emphasized on transnational cooperation, upholding peace in border areas, law enforcement, information transparency and promotion of bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
