Role of Hluttaw : Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker meets representatives in Pathein

Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker U Khin Yi met with the Ayeyawaddy Region Hluttaw representatives in Pathein. During the meeting, the Speaker stated that the Hluttaw serves as a bridging pillar representing the public's will between the people and the government.

He emphasized that the success of Hulttaw responsibilities depends on the performance of its committees, and strategic plans must be effectively implemented to elevate the role of the Hluttaw. He highlighted the intention to establish an "Open Parliament Day" program allowing students, youth, and citizens from various organizations to visit freely.

He also urged the Hluttaw representatives to work toward regional development, national stability and growth, the rule of law, and the reduction of commodity prices. Following this, Speaker of the Ayeyawaddy Region Hluttaw U Thein Tun presented an overview of the region's Hluttaw meetings and ongoing activities.

And, attending representatives raised issues regarding transportation and current flooding conditions, to which the Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker provided coordination and solutions. The Speaker subsequently met with the chairpersons and secretaries of the Ayeyawaddy Region Hluttaw committees. After they reported on their respective operational developments, the Speaker offered necessary guidance.
