Paying Tribute and Laying Wreath : President laid a wreath at the Tomb of Unknown Soldier

President U Min Aung Hlaing of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, who is currently on an official visit to Moscow, Russian Federation, paid tribute and laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Moscow in the morning on August 18.

First, the President, accompanied by members of delegation, arrived at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Moscow, where he was welcomed and greeted by Russian government officials and the military commander of Moscow.

Subsequently, two soldiers led the procession carrying the wreath, and the President laid the wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. He then observed a one-minute silence in honour of the fallen heroes. Following the wreath-laying ceremony, the Guard of Honour of the Russian Federation played the national anthem of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.

The State President then received the ceremonial march-past salute by the Guard of Honour and warmly greeted the officials present, it is reported.
