Officer Candidate Training Course: UCSB Chairman delivered the opening address

The opening ceremony of Officer Candidate (Special) Training Course No. (16), was held Monday at the Yadanar Thingaha Hall of the Civil Service Academy (Lower Myanmar), with Chairman of the Union Civil Service Board U Tin Maung Win attending and delivering the opening remarks. In his opening remarks, Chairman U Tin Maung Win said that the trainees had been selected for vacant entry-level positions at various ministries and organizations after successfully passing the successive qualification assessments required to become gazetted officers.

He added that the training would provide the trainees with knowledge and skills to develop qualities such as patriotism, love for the country and loyalty to the State, as well as good practices in time management, coordination and cooperation. A total of 146 trainees, comprising 39 male and 107 female trainees, are attending Officer Candidate (Special) Training Course No. (16). The training course runs from 17 August 2026 to 3 December 2026.

Following this, the UCSB Chairman met with the academic staff in the Academy's meeting hall and attended a programme in which the academic departments presented and reviewed the subject curricula to be taught in the respective training courses. He also gave guidance on matters requiring revision and supplementation. Afterwards, the Chairman had lunch together with the female trainees from Junior Officer Training Course No. (137) at the Poppa Hall dining facility, it was reported.
