Turkish Foreign Minister Fidan visits Egypt

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan visited Egypt to co-chair the Türkiye-Egypt Joint Planning Group meeting. Fidan emphasized that deepening bilateral ties based on mutual trust will boost regional peace and stability. He also held talks with Egypt’s intelligence chief and the Arab League Secretary-General.

The talks covered bilateral relations, current status of agreements under negotiation and encourage mutual investment in line with a common goal of increasing bilateral trade volume to $15 billion.They also focused on cooperation in hydrocarbons, electricity grid integration, energy infrastructure and mining.
