





Union Minister for Commerce U Tun Ohn on Friday inspected factories operating in the Hlaingthaya Industrial Zone (1) in Yangon Region.
During the visit at Shwe War Yaung Agriculture Production Co., Ltd and Thamadi Family Co., Ltd, the Union Minster inspected the processes of rice production and instructed that rice should be explored into new markets and distributed to ensure adequate domestic consumption at affordable prices, and any surplus should be exportedwith the aim of doubling rice exports.
Afterwards, the Union Minister examined the factory of Mega Pack Co., Ltd which is engaged in import-substitution manufacturing and produces around 60 types of woven polypropylene sacks. He advised the company to place emphasis on producing high-quality bags, ensuring that manufacturing activities don’t affect the environment.
Subsequently, the Union Minister arrived at the KK Fishing Net Factory Co., Ltd where he guided the company to work toward doubling its exports and discussed plans to help establish links with overseas markets. Next, the Union Minister toured the rubber warehouse of Fu Xing Brothers Co., Ltd where he instructed the company to systematically preserve the rubber and to expand the installation and use of a solar power system.
