Relief Supplies : Provision of food and financial assistance

The Magway Region Government provided food and financial assistance to families affected by flooding from the rising Ayeyawady River.

The ceremony was held on August 14 at the village monastery in Myay Nu Kyun Village, with the attendance of Chief Minister U Tin Ko Ko. A total of 144 affected households received rice, cooking oil, instant noodles, eggs and drinking water, worth a total of over 3.96 million kyats. In addition, the Department of Disaster Management provided 550 people with rice allowances of 5,000 kyats each, totaling 2.75 million kyats.
