Bilateral Relations : Myanmar-Belarus tourism cooperation

To be able to promote Myanmar-Belarus tourism cooperation, Union Minister for Hotels, Tourism and Culture U Maung Myint met with the delegation led by Ms. Olga Chemodanova, Chairperson of Belaya Rus Party in Nay Pyi Taw on Friday.

The meeting focused on exchanging of tourism related statistic, photos and videos of the two countries and boosting mutual tourism between the two people. The Belarusian representatives emphasized the need to distribute information on Myanmar’s tourist destination sites to make the Belarusian people more aware of Myanmar's natural beauty.

They also emphasized that the visa-free regime between the two countries and the establishment of a direct Minsk-Yangon flight could easier for Belarusian to visit Myanmar and tour operators will be able to organize tours more effectively.

They also discussed matters to distribute videos and photos depicting Myanmar's famous tourist attractions, culture, and natural beauty through the Myanmar Embassy in Belarus to raise awareness among Belarusian people and tour operators.
