Hluttaw Session: Bago Region Hluttaw holds first day of Special Session

The first day of the Third Bago Region Hluttaw Special Session was held at the regional hluttaw hall on Thursday,  with 74 of the 76 hluttaw representatives in attendance, accounting for 97.37 percent.

The Hluttaw Speaker then delivered the opening remarks. Bago Region Planning, Economy and Finance Minister U Zaw Win submitted a request for supplementary funds and revised budget estimates for the 2026–2027 financial year. The Hluttaw also discussed and approved the formation, membership, leadership, duties and powers of the Joint Committee on Bills and Public Accounts. The Auditor-General’s performance report was then submitted.
